Colin Kloecker, an intern architect in our office, has been blogging (writing a web log) for about a year on the website Blog Like You Give A Damn - the official blog of Architecture for Humanity: Minnesota.

Last week, Colin started writing for WorldChanging: Twin Cities. Writing for WorldChanging means that Colin has made the jump from lowly blogger to a fairly new phrase in the web lexicon: citizen journalist.

WorldChanging.com works from a simple premise: that the tools, models and ideas for building a better future lie all around us. That plenty of people are working on tools for change, but the fields in which they work remain unconnected. That the motive, means and opportunity for profound positive change are already present. That another world is not just possible, it's here. We only need to put the pieces together.

Colin's first article, published last week, is about the upcoming Search for Shelter event in Minneapolis. Sponsored by AIA Minnesota, Search for Shelter is a great event that gives everyone involved a great opportunity to give back to the community as well as sharpen their design skills.
