Colin is getting his first professional experience in the field of Architecture at Cermak Rhoades Architects. Having worked in the field now for over three and a half years, he has grown to believe that good architecture and urban planning should clarify the connections between people, land, and politics. It should be affordable, sustainable, and honest in design, construction, and materials.

If reduced to their elements, his interests are usually found at the intersection of humanitarian issues, sustainability, and the built environment. He is a founding member of Architecture for Humanity: Minnesota, for which he writes Blog Like You Give a Damn. He also co-founded Solutions Twin Cities, an non-profit organization that creates events, programs, and spaces that showcase worldchanging designers, artists, and activists in Twin Cities.
