TESTIMONIAL
"To come from where we were to now, it's unbelievable. It really is. We're not a blight anymore
on the neighborhood. We're committed to keeping it beautiful and keeping it safe. We don't want it to go back to the way it was."

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This renovation project consisted of a major rehabilitation of seven historic
brick buildings into sixty units of multi-family affordable apartments,
including a range of one, two and three bedroom units. The building interiors
were completely reconfigured to provide larger, more functional apartments
and to incorporate community facilities for resident use. The design team
carefully reintroduced historic details to the building exteriors, including
cornices, window and entry details that had deteriorated or been removed
in previous renovations. Site redesign included the separation of one, large
parking lot into two smaller lots, replacement of wall-to-wall paving in
the courtyard with an attractive walkway, new play area and planting beds,
and the addition of landscaping, ornamental lighting, fencing and outdoor
seating throughout the site.
