This project provides affordable workforce housing and commercial space in a mixed-use building that replaces an underutilized corner of an existing parking lot. The building includes four stories of apartments (80 total units) above one story of commercial lease space and one level of underground parking. The team was able to reduce the total area of impervious surface on the site from its previous condition and filter the majority of storm water from roof and pavement area in multiple rain gardens planted with all native and adapted vegetation. The building is within walking distance of shopping, services, light rail service and multiple bus lines.
