PROJECT: La Puerta Abierta

LOCATION
St. Paul, Minnesota

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This building will replace La Puerta Abierta’s currently cramped facility with worship space for approximately 200 on the first floor, and additional educational/multipurpose space below. The worship space features a large wall of glass doors that open onto a plaza for indoor/outdoor celebrations, reinforcing the idea of the church as “La Puerta Abierta,” or “The Open Door.” The building and paved areas are carefully sited to retain existing stone walls, landscaping, and numerous mature walnut trees as an amenity for the church and the surrounding neighborhood.
