PROJECT: Liberty Plaza Community Building

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This building is the final step in the recent rehabilitation and renovation
of TCHDC's Liberty Plaza housing development. The building includes common
facilities for residents, including a large community room, classrooms,
and spaces for youth programs and activities, as well as property management
offices. The design features a "butterfly" roof, which creates a welcoming
front porch at the front entry, and allows high ceilings and large windows
looking out to a large landscaped area and playground to the east. All common
facilities are on the first floor for easy accessibility, with a maintenance
shop in a partially exposed basement below.
