MINNEHAHA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Minneapolis, Minnesota

Centered on a redesign of the church's narthex and entry plaza, this project included a range of interior and exterior improvements. The most visible are the new vestibule, enlarged and heightened narthex, convenience kitchen improvements, and fresh interior finishes throughout. The less visible changes include a new roof, tuckpointing of the exterior brick, boiler replacement, life-safety enhancements including a new fire alarm system, and lighting improvements. The range of decisions made to organzie the work were made easier by a master-planning process that included a range of programming options for the current building and possible future additions. That work will remain as a framework and reference for the congregation in the coming years.
