You have an idea. You know there is a need to be met, whether it's housing, community facilities or entirely new
neighborhoods. You start to pull together other people and groups that can help make it happen. You want to work
with people who have talent and experience, but are also pleasant to work with. After all, it could be a long and
challenging process.
One part of your team is the architect who can help translate your idea into a buildable concept. Someone who will listen to your ideas and use their own experience to generate design concepts that are specific to your project and budget. And, after the design is developed, they can help you through subsequent processes for neighborhood review, funding, bidding and construction.
The effort is all worth it on open house day, when you are proud to realize you've made a difference in the quality
of life in your community for generations to come.
Cermak Rhoades Architects is all about helping you get from here to there.
Cermak Rhoades Architects was founded 19 years ago by Terri Cermak and Todd Rhoades to provide high-quality
design and professional service to clients in housing development. Prior to starting the firm, Terri and Todd each
had 13 years experience on a variety of projects in their firms. Todd also teaches in the architecture department
at the University of Minnesota.
We now have a staff of nine people dedicated to creating better places to live for everyone in our community.
Our projects range from site evaluation studies to multi-million dollar construction projects, in many cities and towns
across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Our clients include non-profit organizations, individuals, private developers, churches, and local
governments—many of whom we have been fortunate to work with on multiple projects.
Our projects are characterized by a thoughtful design concept that reflects experience, understanding
of design principles, continuing research in housing types and technology and the vision of our clients.
